It was a wrong idea because I messed up the unit. When frustrated, I threw in the towel, called the cooling corporation’s cooling representatives, and tied up an installation. They would finally get a modern mini split a/c to help with indoor comfort. I got an earful from the professional for attempting to repair the unit, as I could have damaged myself trying to repair a dead heating, ventilation, and A/C unit. The professional explained that it took them a long time to learn the skills needed in the cooling industry. Though she understood I needed to find a lasting solution while saving on maintenance costs, I would have called the professionals. To make our component function optimally for a longer time, I needed to ensure I tied up tune-ups at least once a year.
