For a week or so, I knew I would have to leave my home alone.
I wanted to have a housesitter though, because not only do I have pets that needed to be taken care of, however I also didn’t live in the best village, and so I felt a lot more comfortable with the idea of someone residing at my arena temporarily to guard it, however a friend of mine was ok with staying over, and before I left on a Sunday night, I handed him the keys. I fully trusted my friend to take enjoyable care of my home and my pets while I was away. When I came back, all seemed to be well, and I thanked my friend for looking after my home for me. However, I was in for a surprise when I gained my bi-weekly Heating, Ventilation & A/C bill. It was way higher than usual! I did some calculations, to try and figure out where this excess amount is coming from. I then slimed things down to when my friend was condo sitting. I decided to call and ask them what this was all about. They blatantly told me that yes, they used my cooling system every single day, for hours all day. They were completely reckless with my heating and cooling machine. I was pretty angry at them, however my friend offered to pay for the difference, and so I foroffered him. Although next time, I will put a lock on my thermostat, unless he offers to pay again.
