I appreciate running a vintage shop, more so when people bring in their fancy aged stuff for me to buy & sell.
The trouble with it all comes with the dust & odors that cling to them.
At first, I thought the big windows in the shop & the efficient Heating & A/C system would help retain indoor air quality, although I kept getting allergic reactions to the items, especially before my associate and I got them cleaned for display. My buddy and I also ensured that the air quality was retained to the best of our ability by having the Heating & A/C contractor handle duct cleaning & change the air filter bi-weekly & weekly! With all the effort I made to keep the Heating & A/C component scrub & efficient, I had to ask the Heating & A/C professional for additional help because I needed to improve the air purification efficiency for myself & my assistant. The expert recommended adding an air cleaner to the smart Heating & A/C device to ensure that the whole home air cleaner capacity for the entire store would handle whatever was not cleaned out. The work wasn’t meant to take long, but the home manager wasn’t open to the changes my associate and I were planning to make despite us explaining that my associate and I were trying to get additional air purification help due to the type of stock my associate and I dealt with. My buddy and I debated it for a long time, had the A/C contractor show up for consultation under free home service, explained to the manager that the addition would not harm the property, & finally got the go-ahead. The replacement happened in less than a afternoon, & my associate and I had no more allergic reactions by the time our modern stock came in.
