Are you one of those people who are obsessed with brand names? Carl’s hubby is and it drives him crazy. He would spend extra cash on a product just because it has a particular name affixed to it. And don’t get him wrong, Carl understands that particular products are better than others and various of the brands that he knows, and appreciates have been producing quality products for years. But personally, Carl doesn’t need to have the top brand on the market as there are other products that perform just as well and periodically even better however get overlooked because of the name. Take for instance, when they were in the process of purchasing a new Heating, Ventilation & A/C unit, his hubby insisted on getting a Carrier Heating, Ventilation and A/C and he would not consider any other brands because he was convinced that Carrier was the best on the market. And yes, Carrier is a solid Heating, Ventilation & A/C manufacturer. In fact, they are the pioneers of central A/C and have been around since the start of the A/C revolution. And over the years, the corporation has diagnosed its status within the Heating, Ventilation & A/C industry. But there are other companies that produce Heating, Ventilation & A/C components that would be comparable to that of Carrier. For instance, Lennox, Bryant, and Trane are well-established Heating, Ventilation & A/C manufacturers. But because they’re not Carrier, his hubby refused to consider purchasing one of their Heating, Ventilation & A/C units even if they were comparable to that of equipment from Carrier. Needless to say, they ended up buying Carrier equipment because of the name. However, if it were up to Carl, they would’ve shopped around and compared prices and quality with the other brands on the market; Oh well, such is life.
