I need to call my folks as it has been weeks since we talked. Their aunt is dying soon and I think they have been feeling a bit down about it, so I’m giving them time to digest it as it is a substantial thing losing a brother who you are close to. I’ve been living away from mom for 12 years now and it is hard going back home to visit because I truly can see them aging each time I return. I guess we are all aging but it is tougher seeing your dear parents get old. HVAC system repairs was mom’s task for various years, but now her and my HVAC rep dad are both retired and spend a lot of their time in their hometown and we don’t get to see each other so much anymore. I am worried that my pal and I are so far apart, but my dreams have brought me over here and I have to give them a shot before throwing in the towel and moving back to my hometown. I work for a local HVAC corporation in the neighborhood here and they keep me pretty tied up during the week. But on the weekends I play music in a band and we are trying to do a substantial tour of the country in six more months or so. We are all cooling specialists and work together at the local company during the afternoon. At night, we practice some on the streets and record our music to upload online for our tiny fan base.
