I love taking road trips with friends, however it is not often anymore that I get to go because I have four teenagers to look after.
- Before I had teenagers, I would go on spur of the moment road trips almost every month with my friends, plus it was a blast.
Now, it takes quite a bit more planning to go road tripping with my friends. For my birthday this year, my partner planned a road trip with my friends without me knowing plus also found a babysitter for the teenagers. I was so surprised plus excited. My nice friend and I ended up having to take our old, fifteen passenger van on the trip because it was the only car big enough for all of our stuff. I was ecstatic to drive our van, however little did I know that the a/c had gone out in the van. I had just driven the van the week before, plus the a/c had worked great, however apparently, one of our lines had a leak, so my friend and I had no a/c the entire road trip. I felt so bad for all of my friends having to endure the heat in the van for eight hours plus. They were all actually sweet about it though, plus not even once did any of them complain. I was the only one who complained about being hot. When my friend and I finally arrived at our endpoint, my friend and I walked into our air conditioned hotel rooms plus just soaked it in for a nice hour plus a half before trying to go out in the warm van again. Overall, my friend and I had a blast, although I will genuinely be making sure my friend and I have a/c in any vehicles my friend and I may be taking in the future.
