They were all unquestionably sweet about it though, & not even once did any of them complain.
I prefer taking road trips with friends, however it is not often anymore that I get to go because I have four teenagers to look after. Before I had teenagers, I would go on spur of the moment road trips almost every month with my friends, & it was a blast. Now, it takes quite a bit more planning to go road tripping with my friends. For my birthday this year, my wife planned a road trip with my friends without me knowing & also found a babysitter for the teenagers. I was so surprised & excited. My buddy and I ended up having to take our old, fifteen passenger van on the trip because it was the only car large enough for all of our stuff. I was cheerful to drive our van, however little did I know that the a/c had gone out in the van. I had just driven the van the week before, & the a/c had worked great, however obviously, one of our lines had a leak, so my nice friend and I had no a/c the entire road trip. I felt so awful for all of my friends having to endure the heat in the van for eight hours plus. They were all unquestionably sweet about it though, & not even once did any of them complain. I was the only one who complained about being hot. When my nice friend and I finally arrived at our endpoint, my nice friend and I walked into our air conditioned hotel rooms & just soaked it in for a nice hour & a half before trying to go out in the tepid van again. Overall, my nice friend and I had a blast, but I will really be making sure my nice friend and I have a/c in any vehicles my nice friend and I may be taking in the future.
