Family trips can be a lot of fun, however they can also be quite testing of one’s patience, and when I was younger, my family & I would go on several trips together, & some of my fondest memories are from those trips. Now that I am married & have my own family, I understand why my mom & Mom my buddy and I often stressed out on family trips. It is certainly a lot of labor to plan & follow through with a family trip. It seems like there is always something that goes wrong. This past summer, our family took a trip to the mountains, & minus the road trip there & back, it was a lot of fun! On our way there, the air conditioning in our van went out. My friend and I tried to stay positive & just recharge it hoping that it would last the rest of the trip. Sadly, my buddy and I only had air conditioning for about two hours after my buddy and I recharged it, & then it was out again. My husband ran some dye through the air conditioning lines & found out that my buddy and I had a leak in one of our lines. So, my buddy and I did not have air conditioning for the entire rest of the trip which was seven more hours, however everyone was warm & angry. My husband tried to get the line substituted while my buddy and I were at our cabin, however the mechanic was asking for too much money. My husband knew he could certainly substitute it himself when my buddy and I got back home, however that meant the entire trip apartment would be without air conditioning as well. In the end, the trip was a blast, however I hope my buddy and I never lose A/C on a trip again.
