My husband and I just got a new furnace, and wow, has it made a difference in the temperature of our house.
Our old furnace started having trouble about six months ago, and we knew that it would not be long before we would have to get a new one.
One of my husband’s best friends is an HVAC technician, and he came over and let us know what was wrong with our furnace. He basically told us to plan to buy a new furnace. I am super thankful that we knew ahead of time because it cost quite a bit of money to get a new furnace installed. I was sort of hoping that he was wrong though. It would have been nice if the old furnace would have kept on running for another year or so, but I guess that wasn’t meant to be. We bought the new furnace, and I could not believe how warm our house was. That just tells me how terrible our other furnace was. We had the thermostat set to seventy-five degrees with our old furnace, but there was no way that it was ever that warm in the house. It felt more like it was sixty-five degrees if that. Now that we have a new furnace, I don’t set the thermostat to seventy-five anymore because it actually gets the house up to temperature, and seventy-five degrees is a bit warm for our family’s preferences. I am really glad that it is warm though. I don’t miss feeling chilly in the house. I am glad that we don’t have to worry about the furnace quitting anymore either. That was no fun.
