My pal and I didn’t use the fireplace while we were there, but we absolutely made sure that the central heat was at a comfortable temperature.
We got 69 inches of snow in the past month and that is more than we have ever had in January, during the past 30 years, the January averages are closer to 30 or 40 inches of snow. The ski cottage was open all weekend while in Christmas and that was a sizable surprise. I absolutely didn’t expect the ski cottage to open before the 1st of the year. Usually they have a celebration in January because that is when the slopes open. With this much snow in January, there was no reason for the ski cottage not to open. My lady wanted to go when the place opened up in January and I agreed. My pal and I got a room on Monday and Friday night. My pal and I spent all afternoon on Friday on the slopes and much of the afternoon on Monday skiing as well. When we were not outside enjoying all of the snow, we were in our room enjoying the amenities. My pal and I had a wood burning fireplace in the room and central heat. When we came back from skiing, our bodies were frozen and the heat helped warm us up. My pal and I spent our afternoons outside and our afternoons hanging out with friends down in the cottage. There’s a really nice place for people to hang out and drink budweiser or alcohol and they sell popcorn there as well. It’s a good place to hang out after a long afternoon of skiing or snowboarding.
