For a week or so, I knew I would have to leave my apartment alone.
- I wanted to have a housesitter though, because not only do I have pets that needed to be taken care of, but I also didn’t live in the best neighborhood, and so I felt a lot more comfortable with the idea of someone living at my arena temporarily to guard it, and a friend of mine was ok with staying over, and before I left on a Sunday night, I handed him the keys.
I fully trusted my friend to take relaxing care of my apartment and my pets while I was away. When I came back, all seemed to be well, and I thanked my friend for looking after my apartment for me. However, I was in for a surprise when I acquired my daily Heating and A/C bill. It was way higher than usual! I did some calculations, to try and figure out where this excess amount is coming from. I then slimed things down to when my friend was home sitting. I decided to call and ask them what this was all about. They obviously told me that yes, they used my a/c component every single morning, for hours all morning. They were completely reckless with my heating and cooling machine. I was pretty irritated at them, however my friend offered to pay for the difference, and so I forgave him. Although next time, I will put a lock on my control unit, unless he offers to pay again.
