Mandy is sure glad that’s over.
Had she really any sort of actual conception of what this sort of winter weather would be like, she might have said thanks however no thanks to this job. Her life has always been lived far south of the Mason-Dixon line. Mandy grew up way down south and never knew anything, however mild winter temperatures that essentially allowed the heat pump a five month rest. But then again, those heat pumps needed it given the tremendous amount of A/C that comes with living down there. She went to university down south and took a job not two hours from where she grew up. That office was so awesome because it genuinely had zone controlled Heating, Ventilation and A/C. Mandy only had a cubicle back then, however it was so nice to be able to adjust her thermostat in her end of the office. The direct sunshine heating could really mess up an afternoon without being able to adjust the A/C. Mandy worked in that building for almost 11 years before she was provided a large promotion. That promotion came with the move to the northern regions of this country. And she means north. The winter here lasts basically six months. There is no zone controlled Heating, Ventilation & A/C in this office. But Mandy has an actual office with walls now so she brought in a space furnace just to get by this winter. She keeps that space furnace right under her desk. However, it’s the new gas furnace in her dwelling that has saved her bacon this Winter. As freezing as it was for month after month after month, Mandy was always overheating inside her dwelling thanks to the heating from the gas furnace.
