Thankful for heat pump’s humidity balance

I felt it for the first time just yepterday, but the temperatures were hovering around 90 degrees which isn’t at all odd for May in this region! But yepterday was the first time that I entirely felt the humidity level match the temperature level.

And that led to plenty of air conditioning yepterday both at dwelling and in the office.

This is what we’ll soon deal with all Summer long; From July through September, the temperatures stick to the high 90’s with humidity levels between 77 and 90 percent. And sporadically much higher. Thankfully, my buddy and I only have to deal with this combination for four months in a row. But what I felt yepterday reminded my of what’s in store for the easily immediate future. The afternoons of charming Spring weather are truly over for us. The fact is that I’m going to seal up the house this weekend as my final Summer preparation, i’ll upgrade the weather stripping around all the entrances and even use some spray insulation on a few older windows that don’t seal well, but once that’s done, I’ll flip the temperature control over to cooling and just leave it, then up until now, I’ve only used the air conditioning in a case by case sort of way. I like to get accustomed to the higher temperatures to hold the cost of air conditioning down. But with the humidity levels climbing along with the temperatures, it’s time to have air conditioning on the yearly! While the cooling is great for sure, I also want the humidity control that comes with air conditioning. I don’t want to let my house get to where it becomes the perfect environment for mold and mildew.
