It had been a moderate day at university, and it seemed to drag on; however, the university’s heating, ventilation, and A/C device had malfunctioned as my friend and I chose to go to lunch, and the afternoon sessions seemed brutal… However, I could not pay attention to the lecturer because I felt too hot, but just when I thought I could not handle any more of the humidity, I heard the principal’s voice on the speaker, and our heart skipped a beat when he mentioned our name.
I wondered what I could have done to warrant a visit to the principal’s office, then when I got there, I saw our dad, which puzzled me more. The principal had contacted the cooling corporation where dad worked as a cooling representative to help with indoor comfort. The head principal also announced that my friend and I were done for the day since the a/c broke down and there was no indoor comfort, but he promised the situation would be improved by the following day, however dad had called me to the office so I could catch a ride with the neighbor’s kid, as he could not take me home. He and the other cooling specialists would run a/c maintenance on the university’s cooling unit. It took dad and his team three thirds to do the a/c repairs. They thoroughly cleaned the mini split a/c and changed the filters to improve air quality. When dad got home, he confirmed my friend and I would return to university the following day as the cooling techs had fixed the quality a/c. I was completely fascinated by how stretchy the cooling industry was. Though dad was a cooling professional, he knew more about a/c, making his skillset marketable.
