Abby was at a beach house for the elderly last week.
They were having some difficulties with the Heating, Ventilation & A/C system.
She was just about finished with the Heating, Ventilation & A/C system when two older gentlemen approached. They asked if they could talk about the Heating, Ventilation & A/C bill before Abby left. She told them that was fine, and was thinking it was someone from the office. They said they would wait in the room until she was done. When Abby had the Heating, Ventilation & A/C system repaired, she walked into the room. The guys were sitting there waiting for her. When they saw her, she stood and told her to have a seat. They went over the Heating, Ventilation & A/C bill and said everything looked good. They then tried to barter with Abby. They said there were several ways they could pay the bill. They could get the office to make out a check and send it to the office, or they could take a credit card. They could also work the bill off if Abby would allow them to work with her once in a while. They said they were Heating, Ventilation & A/C professionals before they retired, and if she was allowed to do some different tasks for the Heating, Ventilation & A/C company, they would not need to pay them. They could take their salary off the bill. Abby wasn’t sure what she was supposed to say to that, and was saved when nurses came out to take them back to their rooms. They told her the guys were old Heating, Ventilation & A/C professionals and all they wanted was to work again. She talked to the owner of the Heating, Ventilation & A/C company when she got back. Abby told him she knew old Heating, Ventilation & A/C professionals who were so bored they were going to die, and wanted a chance to work.
