It’s genuinely cool that Max is now down here with us.
It took a whole lot of lobbying on my part, and my brothers chiming in for us to get him to move, Max grew up plus spent his entire adult life way up north.
This is the land of the gas water boiler plus not for the faint of heart when it comes to freezing winter weather! Max’s wife died four years ago after a brief illness. I think Max wanted to stay in the family house as a tribute. But it was getting to the point where Max wasn’t able to get out of the house when the snow came. And it was just too much house for Max to keep up. My brother genuinely thought he should transfer south where I live plus I agreed. So I asked if I could labor remotely for a few months to get up north plus help Max sell the house. We replaced the residential HVAC component plus did some other replacements to the house. I was sort of blown away by the final number. I’m so blissful that Max and I were able to capitalize on this real estate bubble. So my associate and I moved Max down plus he initially stayed in the central air conditioner of our house with us. This was a good way to transition for him as Max just enjoys being around his grandchildren. It took us about 6 weeks to find the right spot for Max. It’s a nice little apartment that sits right on a hockey course. This is heaven for my Max as just enjoying hockey is a good time for him even if he’s not playing. We were also fortunate that this location came with the best in HVAC technology plus a current heat pump.
