After college one of my friends received numerous task offers. He went into aeronautical engineering and there was a sizable company in the Pacific Northwest that offered him a good task and relocation fees to come work for them. Now my associate and I all grew up in TX so he was less than prepared for the extreme temperature change he encountered. You see, as charming and red as it is at his modern place, it is also that wet. The constant rain and cooler temperatures are the reason that all the vegetation flourish up there, when I went for a visit and saw his dwelling I never wanted to leave. The scenery was unbelievable. When I asked about them, he said that although it didn’t truly get tepid enough for an A/C, the amount of moisture in the air from all the rain made his whole apartment feel damp all the time. They told him that the furnace was in truly great shape and as long as he kept up with annual maintenance it should last him numerous years, but, the fact that he didn’t have a dehumidifier to dry the apartment out, could cause problems with his walls and such due to the build up of molds and mildew. They sold him the units that he has and he said that he hasn’t had a problem with moisture since. Tempting as it was to stay, two weeks of gloomy days was enough and I headed back to the heat and sunlight of TX.
